Automatic and Objective Measurement of the Stress Birefringence in Glass,
Plastics and other Translucent Materials

With the StrainScope, mechanical stresses in glass and plastics can now be measured and visualized in real time. The StrainScope can be used flexibly wherever conventional polariscopes and polarimeters have been used before. The StrainScope delivers objective and reproducible measuring values and minmizes the operator influence on the results.
