glasstec 2022 in Düsseldorf
Finally glasstec again, finally experiencing real trade fair feeling and meeting old and new friends!
Visit ilis at the world's most important glass trade fair, the glasstec 2022 in Düsseldorf from September 20 to 23 at stand 14/F04 in hall 14.
See our latest developments in the areas of:
- Measurement of residual stresses with StrainScope
- Measurement and control of the glass color with Chroma
- Batch calculation and glass development with BatchMaker
We look forward to showing you the features and benefits of our products in live demonstrations!

26th International Congress on Glass in Berlin
Visit us at the exhibition accompanying the 26th International Congress on Glass (ICG 2022), the leading international congress of the glass industry, which will take place in Berlin from July 3 to 8 together with the 95th Annual Meeting of the German Society of Glass Technology (DGG).
Apr 26-29, 2022
LASER World of Photonics 2022 in Munich
Visit us at LASER World of PHOTONICS 2022, the leading international trade fair for photonics, from April 26 to 29 at the OptecNet pavilion in hall B6, stand 339.
See our latest developments in the imaging measurement of stress birefringence, e.g. with the StrainScope Flex real time polarimeter.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Thank you very much for the pleasant and trustful cooperation this year, which we are able to conclude successfully again despite all the adversities.
This year we support the COVAX vaccination campaign by UNICEF and the Kindernothilfe (supporting children in need) with donations.

SPIE Optifab 2021 in Rochester
Visit us at the SPIE Optifab 2021 in Rochester, NY from October 19 to 21 at our stand 128.
See our latest developments in real-time stress birefringence measurement. For example, the StrainScope Flex, which is ideal for measuring tasks in development and process automation thanks to its modular design.

ilis in Glass Machinery Plants & Accessories
In the latest issue of the Glass Machinery Plants & Accessories magazine, our CEO Henning Katte explains in an interview how we at ilis are dealing with the pandemic-related restrictions and how we have used the trade fair and travel-free time to realign and improve our product and service portfolio. Read also what new developments are planned for the near future.

Happy Birthday StrainScope!
In April 2011, the first StrainScope was put into operation. Since then, more than 200 StrainScope systems have been delivered all over the world. Over the years, the design has evolved and the technology has also been constantly improved.
We are excited about the next 10 years!

ilis academy
Originally, we wanted to celebrate the opening of the new premises of the ilis academy already last year. Unfortunately, the Corona virus pandemic threw a spanner in the works, and this year, too, hardly any face-to-face events will be possible.
But postponed is not canceled and so we are already looking forward to the first events on the topics of stress measurement, color measurement and batch calculation. As soon as the situation allows it again, we will invite to it.

StrainScope Pharma Tester
The new and unique StrainScope Pharma Tester has been specially developed for the fast and objective measurement of residual stresses in pharmaceutical glass packaging such as syringes, vials and ampoules.
An automatic device rotates the test specimen and thus reliably and reproducibly identifies the maximum value of the residual stress – in just a few seconds.
StrainScope Optics Tester
With the StrainScope Optics Tester you can measure residual stresses with high spatial resolution precisely and reproducibly – in real time and including orientation (azimuth).
The telecentric optics enable the measurement of thick materials without parallax errors and the measurement of residual stresses in materials with intrinsic birefringence.

Goodbye StrainMatic!
Since 2004, the StrainMatic has enabled reliable and fast measurement of residual stresses in applications in which previously only manually operated polariscopes and polarimeters were used. Over the years, exactly one hundred StrainMatic systems for a wide variety of applications have been delivered to well-known customers in industry and research all over the world.
But as the saying goes, the better is the enemy of the good. Most measurement tasks can now be performed better, less expensive and even in real time with the StrainScope or the StrainScope Flex. We have therefore decided to concentrate in future entirely on the development and distribution of the StrainScope when it comes to residual stress measurement.
Of course, we will continue to offer our usual service, for example regular maintenance on our premises or at your site. However, we will have to restrict service for the older StrainMatic M2 and M3 model series and some older StrainMatic M4 models in the future. Here we offer our customers attractive offers for migration to the StrainScope.
